Here’s a message from DoIT about changes set to kick in on Monday morning that will change how users login to the wireless network. Disregard the VPN info, unless you’re a VPN user, of course.

On Monday, February 1st, 2010, DoIT will be rolling out a new authentication server for both the new VPN server and the wireless access controllers. The new authentication server requires the following changes:
1. For both the new VPN server and the wireless network access: Instead of logging in with your SFSU email username without the @sfsu.edu portion, the new authentication server will require that you login with your SFSU email username that includes the @sfsu.edu portion.
2. For IPSEC VPN clients, you will be required to change your group name from vpnuser to STAFF-FACULTY.
3. As previously noted, the IP address for the new VPN server is 130.212.253.74.
