An unexpected scheduling error (and miscommunication) has led to the Annex 1 PC workstations (in the alcove) to be reserved for a nursing exam until 7 pm today.

We’ve already gotten complaints from students who are using “Research Workstations” (w/ a 2 hour limit, per day), but need additional time to complete their paper. I’ve worked it out with Systems (thank you and ‘all apologies’ to Tim and Holden) to extend the time on “Research Workstations” to be similar to a PC workstation i.e. they can renew their time after 2 hours.  This will be effective today, only.

Also, we have MAC workstations where you don’t need to sign-in and there is no time limit.
Inform students that we’re aware of the problem with limiting access to workstations during a busy time of the semester and to use the “Research Workstations” w/ the option to renew their time.
