All Those USB Drives w/o A Home!

Its that time of the semester when students are writing papers, getting busy, AND leaving their USB (or flash drive, memory stick, etc) drives in the public workstations.

If you find one, be sure to note the workstation number (example: Research 01, PC 30, Express 2) and the date/ time when it was found.

Leave it in the “Lost and Found” bin (behind the Reference Desk) or the “Lost and Found Storage Cabinet”.

If someone comes to claim one, check to see if the drive has an identifiable document belonging to the patron. Many of the drives look the same. I usually go to an Express Workstation, ask the patron for a document title, and make sure the document is on the drive.
