Patrons who forget their University ID number

If a patron wants to access a workstation in Annex 1 but they’ve forgotten their University ID number, be sure to ask for a PHOTO ID – usually a driver’s license or passport. The “Circulation Desk” functions has University ID information, but this is CONFIDENTIAL info. If they’re unable to provide a photo ID, we can’t help them retrieve their ID number.

Addendum:
1. The MAC workstations do not require a University ID number (but this will change soon).

2. The Express workstations are available for 15 minute increments. ID numbers aren’t authenticated – it can be any combination of letters/ numbers.

Thanks, Hesper! One comment: Students can go to this link and enter their SSN and birthdate BUT we, as people working behind the desk, should not be accepting this info and performing this search for patrons. Send patron to an Express Workstation to retrieve this info.
