About
The Circulation Services Department coordinates item borrowing throughout the Library and operates the Book Checkout & Pickup Counter on the 1st floor.
Services Provided
- Checkout desk for books from the Main collection
- Guest User registration for the computer Sign-On System
- New faculty and special borrowers registration for borrowing privileges (if eligible)
- Help and information about Library fees
- Help and information about Library PINs
- Reset bad or forgotten Library PIN (must be done in person)
- Update your Library record (change of address, etc.)
- Lost and Found
Updating your Library Record
Circulation Services uses your email or postal address to:
- Notify you that items are ready to be picked up
- To send overdue notices
- To send courtesy reminders for Library items declared lost
- To send you an invoice when fines exceed $5.00
If your contact information is inaccurate, you may not receive these important notices and your ability to register for classes or to graduate may be affected. Please note that the Library only sends these notices to your official SF State email address and that campus policy requires you to set a forwarding address for your email if you do not routinely use your SF State email account.
